Ted ‘The Christian and the Psalter’ and Prof Leahy Sermons

Friday, May 30th, 2008

With 5 congregations meeting to try and make out calls in the next 4 weeks, and 2 others thinking about it, I’m obviously sorely tempted to do a big post with profiles of the 5 men who are available (or will soon be available) for a call, along with the dates of all the meetings, and predictions about who the congregations are likely to call. It really is all rather exciting! However as that probably wouldn’t go down too well in some circles, I’ll have to content myself with making some more audio sermons available. The first, mp3ed by jmark, are:

Ted Donnelly – The Christian and the Psalter (Adult Conference 2005)

1. The Value of the Psalms (5MB)
2. The Psalms and History (8MB)
3. Singing to God’s Glory (5MB)

Professor F. S. Leahy sermons

I would also like to point your attention to 15 sermons by the late Prof. Leahy that are now available as mp3s on the Dromore website.

Stuart at GVSBC

steelo and stuarty

Stuart Olyott will be in Great Victoria Street Baptist Church at their Bible Week next week. He’s speaking on Sunday 1st, Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd June. The Monday and Tuesday meetings are at 8pm. He’s speaking on “Big Doors Swing on Small Hinges” (an exposition of the book of Ruth).

The speaker from Wednesday to Friday will be Jonathan Stephen on “Claiming the Capitals for Christ” (Acts 17-19) which also sounds good. Those are also at 8pm.

Jonathan Stephen also spoke a couple of the days at this thing last year, which incidentally was one of Walker’s (RIP) last public appearances.

Incidentally, the GVSBC website features sermons from AC the B, although for some strange reason all the sermons are split into separate parts for each point.

P&Rchive

Monday, May 19th, 2008

Continuing my series of witty titles based on the P&R weekend, here are the talks from the 2004 P&R by Alistair Begg, Standing Firm in the Faith. Thanks to Neil (Bean) for mp3ing them and Beth for getting them to me. They’re all a bit over 20MB each.

1. 2 Timothy 1
2. 2 Timothy 2
3. 2 Timothy 3
4. 2 Timothy 4
5. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (last wee bit cut off)

And for a special SWS bonus, here’s the Beggster slagging off the yanks:
