I, for one, would like to see the report about Joel’s glaring error!

I also agree that Mr Skills’ opening goal was probably better than the report suggests. Although I didn’t have a clear view because I had “dummied”/completely missed Phil’s pinpoint cross right onto my head, he did seem to crack it first time right in the top corner. And he can’t have had much time to react since I ran in front of him and then missed the ball!! A sweet goal indeed! As was Mark’s. And Conor’s second. And a fair few of the other ones too!

But to be fair it must be hard for Phil to concentrate on playing, captaining, managing and match-report-writing all at the one time … and there were rather a lot of goals for the poor chap to try to recall!

Well, although I’m not an RP i’m a Presbyterian who is reformed at heart! I’m Scott who was mentioned by Daniel Ritchie in the last set of blogs, yes, I do live in that mighty Bastion of reformed orthodoxy, union college, and someone asked if I played football for union… the answer is definately no, afterall football is not regulative principle!! :)

Few inaccuracies in the match report…
You havn’t done justice to Ian B’s first goal, my memories is of him hitting it first time, no control. I may be wrong though, I was the furthest away from it.
Neither have you done justice to Hughsie…but the other side of injustice – If my memory serves me right it didn’t quite “bounce off him” so much as he smashed it low and hard to the bottom corner. And this time I was the closest…
But who am I to point the finger after Phil so graciously covered up my error by not even putting in a report last week…anyone want to know who Renwick only drew last week??? :D
